My contribution

I design the product from the ground up.

The challenge · Designing trust in AI

One product, two very different audiences.

Participants share their experiences through AI-led interviews. Research teams explore that qualitative research to make product decisions. Designing both experiences as one coherent product is the core challenge.

Participants

People taking part in AI-led interviews. The experience has to feel conversational, reassuring and effortless.

Research teams

Researchers and product teams exploring qualitative insights. Every conclusion has to stay transparent, traceable and easy to validate.

Design principles

Three principles behind every decision.

Human conversations

The interview should feel like talking to a researcher, not answering a chatbot.

Evidence first

Every insight stays connected to the participant who generated it.

One product

Mobile and web feel like two parts of the same experience, not separate tools.

01 · Conversations that feel human

An AI that interviews like the best researcher.

Less about the prompt, more about what makes a good interview.

Clear onboarding

People understand how the interview works before answering the first question.

Active listening

Voice interactions and subtle visual feedback make participants feel heard throughout the conversation.

Contextual follow-ups

Every question builds on previous answers instead of following a predefined script.

Continuous guidance

Progress indicators and reassuring cues reduce uncertainty from beginning to end.

02 · The report platform

Making research trustworthy.

AI summaries are only valuable if people trust them. Every insight is backed by supporting evidence, so it stays easy to verify where a conclusion comes from. Quotes, audio and video keep real participants present, so research never feels disconnected from the people behind it.

03 · The research assistant

Search becomes conversation.

Instead of manually browsing reports, teams ask questions across one or several studies. Answers stay grounded in the underlying research, with clear sources that make every conclusion easy to verify. The goal is never to replace research, only to make it far easier to explore.

04 · Design system

Building faster with AI.

Alongside the product, I build a design system meant to be understood by both designers and LLMs. Rather than static mockups, I prototype directly in production with engineers, which shortens the design-to-code loop dramatically. This workflow is now the foundation for how the team ships.

What I learned

Trust is a design problem before it's an AI problem.

Designing AI products isn't about adding AI everywhere. It's about understanding where people need confidence, where they need transparency, and where the interface should simply disappear.
